It is specialized in manufacturing machines and equipment for the steel, paper and chemical industries.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/fagorautomation.com.cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/mr_teuvo_joensuu_and_mr_lauri_ihalainen.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-31037 alignleft\" style=\"margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px;\" title=\"Mr. Teuvo Joensuu (on the right) with the Finnish work minister Mr. Lauri Ihalainen during their visit to the factory in Turenki\" alt=\"Mr. Teuvo Joensuu and Mr. Lauri Ihalainen\" src=\"https:\/\/fagorautomation.com.cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/mr_teuvo_joensuu_and_mr_lauri_ihalainen.jpeg\" width=\"170\" height=\"244\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 1990, company expanded and <b>began to manufacture large steel workpieces<\/b> and producing for<b> large rolls for the paper industry<\/b>. Since 2005, TEVO has it\u2019s own foundry for<b> large ship propellers<\/b> in Turenki, southern Finland. Propellers are casted up to 33 tons and 7 meters of diameter. Total casting capacity of this plant is up to workpieces of 90 ton of propeller.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Recently, they have retrofitted a large vertical lathe capable of turning workpieces of up to 10 meter diameter, 5 meter height and maximum load as heavy as 200 tons.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This vertical lathe is <b>equipped with a <a href=\"https:\/\/fagorautomation.com.cn\/en\/product\/cnc-systems\/applications\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FAGOR CNC<\/a> and a <a href=\"https:\/\/fagorautomation.com.cn\/en\/information\/servo-drive-system\/?ref_id=5299\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FAGOR digital servo system<\/a><\/b>. It has <b>4 linear CNC axes that can be interpolated simultaneously with a turning table used as a large main spindle, as a positioning C axis for turning and milling operations.<\/b> It also has a <b>second spindle for drilling and tapping on large flanges and cylinders or other complicated parts<\/b>. It also has a <b>milling head for milling, with a DIN 50 taper, which can be mounted vertically or horizontally<\/b>. The positioning system is provided by <b><a href=\"https:\/\/fagorautomation.com.cn\/en\/product\/feedback-systems\/linear-and-angular-encoders-for-cnc-machines-and-high-accuracy-applications\/absolute\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">high-resolution, absolute-positioning FAGOR linear encoders<\/a>.<\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/fagorautomation.com.cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/tevo_tapping_flange.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-31036 aligncenter\" title=\"Tapping a flange of a large part- 4000mm diameter, 4600 mm high and 50 tons\" alt=\"TEVO tapping a flange\" src=\"https:\/\/fagorautomation.com.cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/tevo_tapping_flange.jpeg\" width=\"267\" height=\"285\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">TEVO facilities have <b>other 4 vertical lathes equipped with FAGOR CNC<\/b>. for turning diameters from 3000 mm to 6000 mm. Choosing the FAGOR CNC&#8217;s for their vertical lathes was the right decision. According to TEVO&#8217;s senior technician, Mr. Tero Salminen \u201cThe FAGOR CNC is easy to operate and its <b>man-machine interface is very intuitive<\/b>. Plus, retrofitting old machines has been pretty easy for us\u201d. Mr. Salminen has done it all by himself, from Electrical Drawings to FAGOR PLC \u2013programming. <b>\u201cFAGOR, besides offering a global product solution, offers excellent Technical Support and full documentation for machine setup\u201d<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/fagorautomation.com.cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/tevo_propeller_machining.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-31039 aligncenter\" title=\"Top view of 4 meter propeller machining\" alt=\"TEVO: propeller machining\" src=\"https:\/\/fagorautomation.com.cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/tevo_propeller_machining-1024x768.jpeg\" width=\"368\" height=\"277\" \/><\/a>Mr. Salminen adds  \u201cto all this, we must add the advantage of having all the machines with the same CNC which makes it a lot easier to properly service and maintain the machines: setting the machine parameters, mechanical backlash compensations for accurate machining, etc.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">TEVO is <b>committed to the permanent development of their production machines to offer a high-quality product<\/b>.
