Fagor Automation has collaborated with students from the School of Engineering of San Sebastian TECNUN to develop an electric car.
These students participated last month in the Formula Student competition at the Montmelo university (Catalonia), as the 1st Spanish team to participate with an all-electric vehicle in a similar competition.
The main objective of this competition is to encourage the knowledge acquired to engineering students who compete in designing, developing, building and driving a racing car.
This year, Montmeló welcomed 450 students grouped in 22 teams from 7 countries: Spain, Germany, Italy, Romania, Portugal, Switzerland and Czech Republic.
According to Borja Prieto, member of the engineering students team TECNUN, “the participation of this event was a success considering that the project has been completed by students within 1 year”
Fagor Automation collaborated on this project by providing 2 motors and 4 drives.
