On Thursday, March 9, within the framework of the technical conferences held during the TECMA 2017 machine tool show, Fagor Automation gave the conference “University-Company Link” at EXPO SANTA FE, in MEXICO D.F.
The conference was targeted at professionals for the machining sector and attended by machine operators, plant managers and professionals interested in improving their training.
Juanjo Gomez, Internationalization Expert at AFM, Rafa Aranzabal, Area Manager at Fagor Automation, Maddalen Gil, Engineering Director, and Luis Alfonso Ramírez Vega, Vice Rector of Business Services at Universidad MONDRAGÓN Mexico, were the speakers at this conference.
AFM highlighted the importance of internationalization, its extensive experience in exports and the importance of people and knowledge in the machine tool sector, along with its provision of solutions to enable other sectors to manufacture under more competitive conditions.
Fagor Automation, in turn, highlighted the commitment to the training centers in the different countries where it is present, with special emphasis on the experiences in China, Malaysia and France, as well as the new collaboration with Universidad Mondragón Mexico.
El Bajío is a world-class automotive hub, and the excellent location of the Universidad Mondragón Mexico and the corporate synergies have been the reason for choosing it as a preferred training partner in Mexico.
The representatives of Universidad f Mondragón Mexico, in turn, highlighted, as important challenges for the Mexican industry, the retraining of employees, search for talent in women, mobility and job rotation, fellowships and collaborations between different universities.

The conference also announced the opening of Fagor Automation Class on March 24, at 11:00, at Universidad Mondragón Mexico in El Marqués, Querétaro.
