At the just concluded CMTS show in Toronto (Canada), Fagor Automation had a very dominant position in both CNC and DRO systems.
FAGOR CNC’s could be seen on variety of machine types including: boring mill, 5 axis machine, slat bed lathe, vertical machining centers and flat bed lathes. All the manual machines at the show were equipped with FAGOR DRO systems, a 100 % share.
All premier machine tool manufacturers from around the world were present at the CMTS’11 show. During the four day show Fagor Automation booth attracted visitors from various industries including aerospace, energy and steel, large job shops and automotive sector (die – mould). The FAGOR booth besides displaying all current models of CNC systems, also displayed absolute linear and angular feedback systems for various protocols.
Most of the visitors at the show were quite optimistic about the economy and it appears the capital spending will continue in the foreseeable future.
