IMTS 2014 Show Review

The 2014 International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) was well received with an exceptionally strong attendance of over 98,000 pre-registered attendees coupled with another 16,000 show registrants. Total registration for the six day event which ran from Sept. 8-13th at McCormick Place in Chicago, was 114,147 and consisted of 2,035 exhibiting companies covering 1,282,914 square feet of exhibit space.

FAGOR AUTOMATION ReBorn project official partner

Within the 7th Framework Program (FP7) of the European Commission, Fagor Automation is involved in the project ReBorn. This consortium consists of 17 partners from around Europe and is working to demonstrate strategies and technologies that support a new paradigm for the re-use of production equipment in factories.

Fagor Automation is awarded a special mention for their CNC 8060 at the National Award for Design and Innovation

Fagor Automation has been awarded a special mention for their CNC 8060 in the accessories, components and tools category of the 11th National Award for Design and Innovation in Machine-tools and manufacturing technologies.

AFM, Advanced Manufacturing Technologies, organizes this award with the support from BEC (Bilbao Exhibition Center) and Beaz (Bizkaian Innovation Agency). The judges were EIDE, IHOBE, SPRI, TECNUN, the University of the Basque Country, Mondragón University, Ergogroup and Osalan and based their choices on innovation, design, ergonomics and safety

“Fagor Milling Day”: Fagor Automation Italy begins the events dedicated to milling

Some seminars are being held in Italy to let machine users know of the advances that Fagor Automation has carried out in recent years in the milling industry. The first and very successful event was the “Fagor Milling Day”, it took place at the end of March, in the province of Brescia (Italy) and about a hundred of users attended it. The day began with the presentation of MONDRAGON Corporation, of Fagor Automation and its wide sales and service network.
