In order to inform users about the latest advances made over the last few years in improved machining quality and productivity, Fagor Automation gathered a group of one hundred users at this event organized at IMH’s facilities in Elgoibar (Gipuzkoa-Spain).
The event began with a warm welcome by IMH, delivered by Zigor Esnaola, Head of Companies and Institutions. The Machine Tool Institute (IMH) is a center specialized in training in advanced manufacturing methods and providing applied innovation services for companies. Every year it trains more than 2,000 students in the programs it offers.
Fagor Automation’s CNC director, Iñaki Sánchez, gave a brief presentation on the company, highlighting its vast experience in the development and manufacturing of products for automation and machine control, as one of the only suppliers in the world to offer a global solution, offering in its catalog CNCs, drives, motors, feedback systems, remote modules, handwheels, etc.
Asier Telleria, Customer Service Manager at Fagor Automation, was in charge of the main topic of the event, which addressed the advantages Fagor offers machine users.

Feedback Systems Marketing Manager Oscar Fernández spoke about the advantages that feedback provides for the machine and the compatibility Fagor offers customers when it comes to replacing encoders from other manufacturers with those made by Fagor, which can be done quickly and at very competitive prices.
The first part ended with the presentation of the portfolio of services Fagor offers users, delivered by Igor Murgiondo, Service Manager. He stressed Fagor’s flexible, comprehensive solutions to increase the availability and productivity of equipment, always adapted to each customer’s needs.
Aware that these days are the perfect opportunity to also show off our latest developments and to find out first-hand what users need, the presentation was combined with a demo zone, where Fagor experts in programming, machining, applications, service, training and products answered all the questions of those in attendance, conducting real demos on different CNCs.
INDUSTRY 4.0 also had its moment at the event, with the presentation by CNC Marketing Manager Julio Zurbitu, who spoke about the possibilities CNC offers, as a cyber-physical system (CPS), for project development in smart factories.
